Ya know what's cool about Alaska? The sun rises at 10 am and sets at 3 pm.

i'm gunna spew out a bunch of random stuff about this week so far, so here we go:

i finally got internet back last night after 12.  for the four days that we in the dorms didn't have internet, we just hung out, and went down to sproul and such.  i don't really feel like being as social as people have been in my suite.  apparently a lot of people just walk up to james gates and start talking to him.  it's a lot of first years who don't really know anyone yet.

unit four is being restricted from eating at crossroads for dinner for a few weeks. ggrrrrrr.  this internet sucks.  this room is really, really cool.  i got a lofted bed and we have tons of room.  i don't have much space to put up decorations and james said i could use his wall close to the enterance so almost all the stuff i brought is now on his wall.  i've gotten five more busses thanks to help from yvonne and james.

yup.

i went to an eye doctor person today for the second time, first time was three and a half years ago.  my vision has improved in those years.  before the eyes were 40 and 80, now they are both 30.

my mother tried to "help" relieve my fear of bees by telling her childhood stories about the swelling of the foot when she got stung, the weird felling (she shuddered when she talked about it), and how she had to put ice on her foot when she was trying to go to sleep.  ok, she wasn't actually trying to help me.  oh and there was a story about how she was watering someone else's plants, got stung, cried a lot, and no one heard her.

lately i've been having a bad headache just about every night. why?!?! WHY?! it hurts.  i almost never got bad headaches in sf, i'm thinking it has something to do with the air, like sacto has bad air. and it's true, there's lower pressure in the valley so the pollution from sf blows into the valley. it sucks.

we had a garagesale yesterday......ssoooooooo tired.....

i woke up around 6:30 and my dad and i immediately started moving crap out to the street.  it was a really slow start, the crowd didn't start till 9 or so which is really odd.  usually starts around 7:30.  luckily, we sold the large things like the excercise machine ("virtually new" = hardly used), the bunk beds, the large clunky speakers, an old bicycle, etc.  dad and i had to carry all that crap down from the attic and it was a pain, but we don't have to bring any of it back up cuz it all sold. hooray!

towards the beginning we were joking that we had actually lost $4 because we had sold $6 but bought $10 worth of stuff from other garagesales on our block.  there were five garagesales all together on our street.  in the end we actually exceeded our goal by a ton, and we were all happy....until we had to bring in all the stuff that didn't sell.  and today we have to pack all that up and put it away.

and my aunt from Alaska is coming in on tuesday and is going to stay in my room...so i need to clean it before then.  right now it is impossible to get anywhere without stepping on something, and the door doesn't close. hmmm....i'm going to be working on it all of today and tomorrow.
